"Thank you, Mockingbird for saving me again, and again, and again..."

Intro:

This deck is all about bringing back Mockingbird as much as possible while owning the board and villain. I checked a lot of decks to make sure this one wasn't already made. If someone did already make it, my apologies, but I didn't see it in a word search or in the Hall of Fame.

This is a Hawkeye version of this Nebula deck that you should really try out. If you don't like Nebula yet, I think that deck will change your mind. There's so much card draw, and your allies are constantly out.

The key difference here is that you'll be bringing back Mockingbird as much as possible.

Setup and Priorities:

As you can see I only have 1 copy of Call for Aid. Why's that? Well, in order to bring back Hawkeye's girl over and over, you'll need 4 extra resources per turn. So, you don't want to grab her right away. You'll need 4 resources generators before she can do her own version of Shield Block, and keep coming back to your hand.

Call for Aid is here to get to the next Avenger ally. They're all great. It can also be used to get to Mockingbird faster.

  • 4 resource generators? Won't that take a long time?

No, probably 4 to 6 turns. In the meantime, you'll be playing allies who draw you tons of cards and playing some arrows.

  • That's a lot of setup. Will the villain crush me while that setup happens?

See above. You'll own the board even while setting up. In fact, you don't even need to play Mockingbird to win with this deck. The first test I did with it was against expert Zola. In that scenario you lose Mockingbird to a side scheme at the beginning of the game. I didn't get her back until turn 5, and still won easily.

Here's the priorities:

Possible Card Replacements:

  • Quinjet is actually really great here, and was my final cut. It has 4 targets, but can be used for Mockingbird. Take out Call for Aid if you want this.

  • Strength In Numbers - This can always work in any Leadership deck with lots of allies. I'd take out a Call for Aid and Tenacity to put them in.

  • Down Time - Just in case you get hit a lot. Since he's a glass cannon, this card can always help.

Conclusion:

  • I've had so much fun tweaking this deck and playing villains. Hawkeye at his best, is able to shoot off a lot of arrows. Having Mockingbird take the really big hits from Thanos or Ronan the Accuser really helps. This isn't your typical Leadership Hawkeye deck, but it also feels very retro and classic. I hope you all enjoy it!
