The idea of this deck is to stun the villain and stun some more.....

The majority of the printed resources are physical, so there is a better than evens chance of being able to stun and do damage when using tackle (the only resource dependent card in the deck). Cards like desperate defence boosts your DEF stats and lets you ready after defending, or never back down lets you stun the attacking enemy (I save these for the villain). I you get hard to handle, or multiple copies, into play you can remove threat from the main scheme, keeping things manageable, so you can flip to gain extra growth counters. And if things get a little hairy on the scheme, use bait and switch. With Groot's ability to soak up damage with growth counters before taking actual damage to his health he can take the hits. The key is to get as many growth counters on him as soon as you can, so consider using a mulligan to get a fruition into play early on as a lot of his hero upgrades trigger off his growth counters.

This has been the only protection deck, yes you read that right, the only protection deck that I have been able to defeat Klaw with in true solo and not feel that I was in trouble of losing.
