Ionic Powerhouse: Wonder Man Aggression
Big Hollywood energy. Bigger damage.
Simon Williams isn’t here to throw one big punch and call it a day. He’s here to build an absurd amount of ATK, turn it into explosive event damage, and keep the cameras rolling.
Ionic Powerhouse is an Aggression deck built around ATK scaling, energy event synergy, and sustained damage. Instead of relying on basic attacks every turn, Wonder Man uses his growing ionic power to fuel devastating events while retaining enough flexibility to contribute in multiplayer.
The Game Plan
- Build the powerhouse.
Get Ionic Physiology working early, then establish Brute Force, Combat Training, and Aggressive Conditioning.
Each ATK bonus makes Wonder Man increasingly dangerous. The trick is knowing when not to make a basic attack. Preserve those bonuses for the events that can exploit them.
- Make every hit count.
Starstruck is the centerpiece of the deck. It converts Wonder Man’s growing ATK into direct damage without sacrificing his accumulated power through a basic attack.
Ionic Blast, Bombs Away, Into the Fray, and Dive Bomb provide additional damage options, from concentrated hits to minion-clearing area attacks.
- Borrow tricks from other aspects.
Wonder Man’s unusual deckbuilding ability allows him to include qualifying energy-resource events from other aspects.
Unified Strike turns his enormous ATK into ally powered attacks, while Everywhere All at Once gives an Aggression deck meaningful threat removal.
That flexibility makes this build more than a one dimensional damage machine.
- Keep the production running.
Mr. Hollywood and Quincarrier support the economy, while Energy Siphon helps pay for expensive turns.
Wonder Man’s allies provide additional utility, damage, and opportunities to leverage Unified Strike.
Best Playstyle
Archetype: ATK scaling event combo Aggression Primary role: Sustained damage and burst damage Secondary role: Threat control and minion removal Preferred player count: 2–3 players Complexity: Moderate Ideal teammate: A reliable defender or threat control specialist
This is a setup oriented deck. Your first priority is establishing your ATK engine, not spending every resource on immediate damage.
Once your upgrades are online, chain powerful events, maintain pressure on the villain, and use your off-aspect tools to support the table.
The key decision is when to cash out your stored power with a basic attack versus preserving it for another explosive turn.
Final Cut
This Wonder Man doesn’t need to attack every turn to be the biggest threat on the table.
Build the power. Preserve the power. Unleash the power.
