Run Them to Ground is uniquely beneficial to Star-Lord giving an additional encounter card to power up his hero-specific events while also skipping the next villain phase.

Squirrel Girl assists with exact thwarting to trigger Stealth Training for stunning the villain.

The Grapnel Launcher allows emergency thwarting of the main scheme.
