The idea behind this deck is to get as much mileage as possible out of Silk's basic thwart. Rather than relying entirely on thwarting events, we're boosting her THW stat and then finding ways to ready her so she can thwart again. With the right upgrades in play, Silk can repeatedly take chunks out of the threat on the board, and Overwatch lets you get even more value out of those big thwart actions.

Thwart, ready, repeat

The backbone of the deck is Justice Served. Attach it to side schemes, and when you defeat the attached scheme, you get to ready Silk. That means you can take advantage of her boosted THW stat again instead of having to rely on events to do all the work.

Organic Webbing is another key piece, providing an extra point of THW along with a built-in ready. Between these upgrades and the various ways to boost Silk's thwart, you're working toward a simple but effective loop: thwart, ready, and thwart again.

Heroic Intuition and Heroic Conditioning each add another point of THW, while Making an Entrance boosts your base THW for a single event and provides a little extra survivability through its healing. Yaw and Roll is a cheap, efficient thwarting option when you need to deal with threat without spending too many resources.

Getting extra value out of every thwart

Once you've built up Silk's THW, Overwatch becomes a fantastic way to multiply the value of your basic actions. A big thwart can do more than just clear the scheme you're working on, and Overwatch helps you capitalize on that investment by removing additional threat elsewhere.

Skilled Investigator provides card draw when you defeat side schemes, giving you another reward for doing what the deck already wants to do. With Justice Served and Overwatch working alongside your boosted THW, defeating side schemes becomes a way to ready Silk, remove more threat, and keep your hand stocked.

The player side schemes are flexible, too. Specialized Training and Get the Scoop provide additional options for developing your board and supporting the overall plan. Feel free to adjust these to suit your group and the scenarios you're playing.

The Spider-Man package

The allies are where this deck gets particularly fun. We're running a bunch of Spider-Man allies and Web-Warriors, but the basic Spider-Man from Sinister Motives is the star. His ability to ready Silk lets her use her basic thwart again, which is exactly what this deck wants to be doing.

The other Spider-Man allies, along with Ghost-Spider, Lady Spider, SP//dr, and the other Web-Warriors, give you a solid supporting cast. Web of Life and Destiny helps tie the package together, providing additional value as your Web-Warrior allies leave play.

Across the Spider-Verse gives you another way to bring a Web-Warrior ally into the picture, with Peter Parker Spider-Man being the best target for the deck's game plan.

Don't be afraid to flip down

One of the more important pieces of the deck is Albert Moon. Don't be afraid to go to alter ego regularly. Doing so lets you get extra cards tucked away, which can provide additional card draw in alter ego and give you more cards to discard when paying for ready effects.

Eidetic Memory, Outwit, Spider Claws, and Spider Reflexes round out Silk's personal upgrades, while Smooth as Silk, Swinging Silk Kick, and Wallcrawl provide additional options for handling the board. Investigative Journalism and First Aid give you some extra utility, and J. Jonah Jameson can help chip away at side schemes over time.

How it plays

The goal is to build up Silk's THW, then keep finding ways to use it again. Justice Served rewards you for clearing side schemes, Organic Webbing gives you another ready, and Spider-Man can ready Silk for yet another basic thwart. Once you have Overwatch in play, those big thwart actions can become even more efficient.

The deck rewards you for planning your turns around the side schemes available and lining up your readies to get the most out of Silk's basic action. Rather than spending every turn playing thwart events, you're building an engine that lets Silk do what she does best, over and over again.

Follow the Yellow Silk Road, and let Silk do the cleaning.
