This MC/DC deck was only lightly tested, just to make sure it function properly. The real test will be when I play it this weekend at the con!

Its good to have goals. Something to strive for. A labor of love. A job well done is a gift on its own, or whatever. GRINDSET. Right???

Idk man, I'm burnt out. Everythings about productivity, growth, investment. Where's the humanity? Everyone is out here trying to complete every Labor as fast as possible, for what? I ain't doing it. We are quiet quitting. And I'm not gonna be silent about it.

What are they yappin about....

We are not finishing our labors. On purpose. HOLD UP. Don't go yet. Lemme explain.

Specifically, we want to leave Protect Humanity out in this deck. If you get the other 2 labors first, just complete them like normal, and you'll still receive their benefits. If you get Protect Humanity first, then you will not have a single gift the entire game. And you know what? That's quite alright.

But why? What could possibly be worth losing out on gifts....which are what Hercules' entire kit is built around??? One word:

Immortality

This deck revolves around a very unique interaction. When the villain attacks you with Protect Humanity out, that attack is redirected to an ally. Often, that ally is Amadeus Cho. But if you have a different ally out, you can choose them instead. If we choose an ally that can reduce the damage that they take, then things get interesting. Which is what we are doing here with Echo. She reduces the amount of damage she takes by each enemy's attack by Hercules' DEF. Most interestingly, she doesn't have to exhaust or defend to do this. So she can actually tank an infinite number of attacks in a single turn.

With permanent upgrades, Hercules gets up to 5 DEF. So she will completely negate most attacks in the game. Yes, some expert villains and a few heavy hitters like Juggernaut will break this and can defeat Echo in the process, so keep that in mind.

This deck is designed for multiplayer, where you can protect the whole table. Do this by letting attacks towards you get automatically redirected. Defend for player 2, have Echo defend for player 3, and use Hangar Bay to let her defend for player 4.

We can take advantage of events like Bait and Switch, Get Behind Me!, and Taunt while being completely safe from the enemy attack. Taunt works, because Echo is not defending the attack, it is just being redirected towards her.

The main goal here is to protect, but it can dish out a ton of damage late game. Buff up Hercs DEF even further with Lion of Olympus and throw down The Best Offense... to turn that big DEF into your attack. You can get up to 7-8 DEF easily and then swing a second time with Limitless Stamina.

Pinned Down and Get Behind Me! are pretty optional. I think they provide really great utility here, but feel free to swap them out.

Echo and Bait and Switch with Hercules, so clever

Can an ally be declared the defender of an attack without exhausting? A hero needs to exhaust or play a defense event or have some upgrade (e.g. Falcon) that allows them to defend without exhausting.

@eroush yes, but with the basic Protect Humanity + Echo combo, she is not defending. She becomes the target of the attack, and she can prevent damage with her ability. And, seperately, you can exhaust her to defend for other players. Its a bit complex

@HeroicSkeleton thanks for clarifying

Looks very risky, but also very fun for multi once set up! :)

If Echo does not need to defend for this to work, what is the purpose of Hangar Bay in this deck?

Oct 17, 2026 HeroicSkeleton · 6684

@TruBlu12321 for multiplayer table defense: she can block for 2 players (no consequential), the attack to Herc gets redirected to her (doesnt need to exhaust or defend), and then Herc can block for the 4th player.

@Game Design Raccoon I've been playing it all weekend at the con and haven't lost Echo a single time! (Probably) just jinxed myself
