LOGAN!! The Ultimate Wolverine [Expert Magneto]

After finishing Marvel’s Wolverine game, I simply couldn’t resist going back and upgrading the Wolverine deck in my collection so I could enjoy playing this character again in the game I love, Marvel Champions.

And yes — this is my own action-packed Wolverine deck, tested in both True Solo and Multiplayer (2–4 players), so I feel quite confident bringing it here to share with everyone. This is one of the hardest-hitting Aggression decks I’ve ever played in Marvel Champions. Having 8 Allies helps Wolverine deal with many of the problems that can come up in Solo, while also enabling some great combos with Utopia. Once Utopia and X-Men Allies are in play, Wolverine can Ready and get back into the fight, allowing him to keep the pressure on. The Allies also play an important role in protecting Wolverine. They can take attacks from the Villain in his place, allowing Wolverine’s Healing Factor to trigger more often. This makes it much easier for him to stay in Hero Form for longer and keep attacking.

Colossus is another key Ally, and he brings one of the coolest attack combos in the deck: Fastball Special.

Of course, we can’t forget the Attack Events. They help push Wolverine’s damage even further every turn. And just like some of my other Aggression decks, Wolverine is another Hero who can make excellent use of Size Advantage, making the card even more fun to play.

The overall playstyle of this deck is actually quite simple: keep building your Upgrades and increasing your ATK as the game goes on. With this list, Wolverine can reach an impressive 6 ATK. Once you have Utopia and your X-Men Allies established, Wolverine can Ready repeatedly and keep the game moving at a very smooth and aggressive pace.

It fits the theme of the deck perfectly — Ultimate Wolverine. Finally, this deck has actually been tested against every Villain in the game. The Villain I found the most difficult to fight was Expert Magneto, so I wanted to give this deck some extra credit for making it through that matchup.
