Angel - Winged Protector

Angel doesn't stand still and defend.

He stays in motion.

This deck uses Warren's constant form changes, a heavy AERIAL package, and Protection events to control the battlefield while Angel and Archangel handle whatever needs to be done.

Take Flight

AERIAL is the heart of the deck.

Aerial Intervention, Ever Vigilant, Natural Flight and Razor Dive give Angel answers for threat, defense, readying and damage while keeping the deck focused on what he does best.

The Power of Flight generates double resources when paying for AERIAL cards, making the event-heavy build surprisingly efficient.

And Avian Anatomy takes it one step further: spend it on an AERIAL event and that event returns to your hand after resolving.

Use it. Get it back. Fly again.

Never Stop Moving

Angel wants to change forms, so the deck rewards him for doing exactly that.

Perseverance gives him Tough whenever he changes form, adding protection without asking him to abandon his normal game plan.

Combined with Metamorphosis, Angel can move between his forms while gaining exactly what he needs for the situation.

Warren adapts.

Angel flies.

Archangel hits.

Protection From Above

This isn't a traditional Protection deck built around exhausting to defend every attack.

Preemptive Strike helps control incoming damage, while the AERIAL events allow Angel to contribute throughout the round without becoming a passive defender.

The goal is tempo: prevent problems, remove threat, ready when needed, and keep moving.

Rogue Takes Flight

Rogue isn't naturally AERIAL, but she has a very good reason to be here.

Use her ability on Archangel and she gains his traits — including AERIAL — while adding his printed 3 ATK to her own.

That turns Rogue into a 5 ATK AERIAL ally for the round.

Apparently wings are contagious.

Wings of Protection

This deck doesn't try to make Angel something he isn't.

It rewards his AERIAL trait, his form changes, and his ability to constantly adapt to the battlefield.

Change form. Take flight. Protect the team.

And when protection isn't enough, let Archangel handle it.
