Storm has always had a place for mutants who don't quite fit anywhere else.

This deck leans into that side of Ororo: New Mutants, Morlocks, young mutants, X-Men and X-Force fighting together under Storm's leadership. It isn't an X-Men tribal deck. It's a family of misfits.

And when Storm calls them to battle, they hit considerably harder than they look.

Fight Until the Last Hit Point

Righteous Purpose is the heart of the ally engine.

Any character with exactly 1 hit point remaining gets +2 THW and +2 ATK. Instead of treating a wounded ally as someone ready to leave the table, this deck treats that final hit point as their most dangerous moment.

Use your allies. Push them down to 1 HP. Then let them loose.

Lead from the Front can add another +1 THW and +1 ATK to the entire team, while Storm's weather can manipulate the battlefield even further.

A battered group of mutants can suddenly become an army.

Nobody Stays Down

Of course, operating at 1 HP has one small problem.

People die.

That's what Rapid Response is for.

Push an ally through their final activation, let consequential damage defeat them, then bring them immediately back into play. You can squeeze maximum value out of Righteous Purpose without being afraid to lose an important member of the team.

Three copies of Rapid Response make this less of an emergency trick and more of a philosophy:

Use every last hit point. We'll worry about death afterward.

Mutant Mayhem

The team deliberately mixes X-Men and X-Force, with Caliban and Marrow providing the X-Force side of the roster.

That opens up Mutant Mayhem.

Choose an X-Force ally and an X-Men ally, return both to their owners' hands, then immediately replay both ignoring their resource costs.

That means two wounded allies can be used aggressively, returned before they're lost, and dropped straight back onto the battlefield at full strength.

It also makes the mixed roster part of the engine rather than merely a thematic choice.

Caliban, Marrow, Mirage, Pixie, Kid Omega, Triage and Peak aren't Storm's supporting cast because they're the usual collection of X-Men superstars.

They're here because this is their team.

Goddess of the Battlefield

While her allies fight, Storm controls the conditions under which they fight.

Weather Goddess gives you additional weather changes and Special activations, allowing you to shift the battlefield according to what the team needs right now.

Need control? Change the weather.

Need to survive? Change the weather.

Ready to unleash a huge team attack? Bring the thunder.

Deft Focus and X-Gene help Storm efficiently play her own kit while Storm's Crown and Storm's Cape build Ororo into the powerhouse she should eventually become.

This isn't a deck where Storm hides behind her allies. She controls the battlefield while they exploit every advantage she creates.

The Misfits Have a Queen

This isn't the clean, polished X-Men strike team.

It's Morlocks. New Mutants. X-Force. Young mutants. Outsiders.

And Storm has always understood that being an outsider doesn't make someone weak.

Sometimes all they need is someone willing to stand beside them.

Control the weather. Push them to the limit. Bring them back.

Every mutant deserves a place in the storm.
