This deck embraces Thor exactly as he should be played: surrounded by enemies and throwing ridiculous amounts of lightning at them.

Minions are not a problem — they are a resource. Defender of the Nine Realms, Angela and Get Over Here! keep them coming, triggering Thor's card draw and fueling Bring It!, Spoiling for a Fight and Hall of Heroes.

Once the battlefield gets crowded, Lightning Strike turns Thor's massive Energy economy into a board wipe. With both God of Thunder upgrades in play, huge Lightning Strikes become very realistic — this deck has produced a 9-damage Lightning Strike, clearing the board in one shot.

Size Advantage gives Thor another brutally efficient weapon. With Thor's enormous HP pool, its condition is easy to meet, making it a reliable 6 damage for only 2 resources. Moment of Triumph helps keep Thor healthy and the condition online.

The Bifrost provides cheap access to the right Asgard ally while they are still in the deck: Angela to find another minion, Throg for protection, Valkyrie to help clean up a crowded board, or Sif when needed.

Superpower Training is especially valuable here because you want to get your Asgard upgrades into play as quickly as possible. With several strong upgrade targets available, it helps you find exactly what you need while also providing an Energy resource icon once it is in the victory display.

The strategy is simple:

Find minions. Draw cards. Build the storm. Call down the lightning.
