Most heroes try not to get hit. Spider-Ham has a better idea: get hit, get paid, and heal it back.

Spider-Ham's toon counters already turn damage into resources, and this deck leans hard into that ridiculous economy. Instead of preventing every attack, Ham chooses which hits are worth taking and then uses Protection to recover the damage afterward.

Petulant Pig is the perfect example. For 0 resources, the villain attacks Ham and he draws 3 cards. If that attack deals damage, it also generates toon counters. What looks like a punishment becomes cards, resources, and fuel for the rest of the turn.

Momentum Shift and What Doesn't Kill Me complete the cycle. Heal the damage Ham deliberately accumulated, then turn that healing into damage or another ready. His health becomes something that can be spent and recovered rather than something that simply needs to be protected.

Of course, not every attack deserves to happen. Thwip Thwip! can damage one of your Web-Warriors to spread two Stuns across the battlefield, letting Ham decide which enemy activations are profitable and which ones simply disappear.

Spider-Tingle provides another layer of protection against the encounter deck. With plenty of Web-Warriors available to absorb its small cost, dangerous treacheries can simply have their effects canceled.

The Web-Warrior package and Across the Spider-Verse provide a flexible cast of allies, while Ham's own ridiculous toolkit handles damage, threat, healing, and resource generation.

This isn't a deck about avoiding pain. It's about making sure getting punched is somehow more profitable than not getting punched.

Hit the pig. Draw some cards. Make some toon counters. Heal it back. Do it again.
