I thought it might be nice to publish decks that use more readily available product, as there are likely some new players joining that are looking to use what they can purchase rather than feel left out for not having all the OOP cards. For the first set of this series, I'm going to stick to core set heroes. This should help give new players an idea of what they should buy after getting the core set and playing the game a few times.

This build uses the core set, Civil War, Wonder Man, Hercules, and Luke Cage. These should be fairly readily available, though Luke Cage is in high demand as of this deck's creation. If you have already acquired the packs needed for the previous deck builds in this series, then you will only need to add the Luke Cage hero pack to your collection for this deck.

Luke Cage is tough. Literally. He can have any number of tough status cards on him, and when he takes an instance of damage it will only remove one of them. This is an ingenious method to showcase Luke's impenetrable skin mechanically. Highly recommend.

On to the deck!

If you've played Iron Man (and I assume you have by now), you know that he's fun once his suit is up and running but can be slow to get going until then. There's a few ways of working around it. One is throwing a bunch of tech upgrades into the deck to help get his hero hand size up to max quickly. Another is leaning into stacking energy resources to blast away with Repulsor Blast while flipping between hero and AE to get his suit together. The way this deck is going to do it is by focusing on drawing a ton of cards and increasing your hand size with Assess the Situation.

Leadership aspect strategy is mainly focused on allies, and we have a wide assortment of do-gooders here. With The Triskelion in play, you can have four allies out at a time, and swapping them in and out with Make the Call allows you to pull almost exactly the right person for the task at hand. Reserve that fourth ally slot for Namora.

There's seven allies in the deck, and Make the Call will trigger Maria Hill, Mockingbird, and Nick Fury after you put them into play, as well as stocking up Hawkeye with a full quiver of arrow counters. Always draw cards with Nick Fury, as it will give you a stronger play advantage and increase the speed at which you can assemble the suit or help you find what you need to shift the board state back in your favor.

If you draw "Avenge Me!", play it on an ally that is definitely going away as a blocker during the villain phase so you can increase your hand further before the next player phase. In the late game, however, you can play it on an ally that can be defeated through consequential damage. I have managed to put Maria Hill into play with "Avenge Me!" on her, then next turn defeat her with consequential damage (draw 2 cards), bring her back with Make the Call (draw 1 card), play Nick Fury (draw 3 cards), and play another "Avenge Me!" on Maria to set up to do it again the next turn.

Jarvis is here largely for theme but is still helpful when you get caught by a stun or confuse, or when you could use a boost to recover hit points. Tony only has 3 REC, so every little bit helps in the early to mid game.

Swaps!

I don't have much to recommend here, as I feel that this build is pretty solid. The higher cost supports of Avengers Mansion, Helicarrier, and Quincarrier might be swappable, but I haven't had too much trouble playing them thanks to the high card draw and Tony's AE ability. The weakness is inherent to Iron Man's design, that being assembling his suit quickly, and I've often had to forgo flipping to hero for a turn to get into a better setup. I tried running Innate Inspiration but in the end I felt it better to leave it out so the opening hand doesn't have a non-resource card taking up a spot for another card that could be more immediately useful.

Once Tony's suit is assembled and your team of allies are on the field, the game should end pretty quickly after that!
