Witch vs the World - Juggernaut https://youtu.be/xg1e_BxqK5E

I wanted to make a Magik deck that utilized some of the new cards and as soon as I saw Stealth Training and Move in Shadow I knew what I had to call it.

This is primarily a Solo deck, but it could hold its own in multiplayer as well. It can’t be the sole source of threat removal, but as part of a team it can do a little more than its fair share. The deck is mostly focused on clearing side schemes and maintaining low threat on the main. We can set things up nicely with One Way or Another to get us a side scheme and then we have several ways of benefitting from that side scheme in Skilled Investigator, Stealth Training, and Clear the Area. I think pushing hard to get out Stealth Training is very important since it contributes to controlling the battlefield.

Speaking of controlling the battlefield, Magik already excels at locking things down and while this isn’t a true Confuse Lock build, we are trying to keep them tied up with statuses. Her own spells Soul Strike and Exorcism go a long way, but the new Ghost Rider ally gives you some great on demand confusion. We also have Dazzler when you can afford to play her and the previously mentioned Stealth Training to give you some stuns. We do of course have a Confuse Lock staple in Float Like a Butterfly to give you some more damage, since this deck does need that help and it isn’t hard to get those confuses if the game is going well.

Even though Magik isn’t a spy or martial artist, she has her own built in discount so Know Your Enemy and Move in Shadow are slightly cheaper than they are for most other heroes. Even if you don’t get Move in Shadow’s discount, Magik’s kit can be somewhat low to the ground cost-wise so you should easily be able to stretch an additional two threat from it.

Then just based on the theme I had to include Stealth Strike and Invisibility Gear. Invisibility Gear does get you a safety net in case you get attacked at a bad time, so there’s no reason not to play it if you draw it. Stealth Strike gives you a little more board control in the form of having a tool to clear minions since without that she just has her basic attacks and Soulstrike to do damage. So each one does have a place, but if you’re looking to trim the deck down to 40 cards, you can start here or removing some duplicate upgrades I threw in for consistency.

Other consistency cards are Heroic Intuition and Heroic Conditioning. Just gives her a little more thwarting power and evens out what she can do. We also have Wolfsbane since she’s a great fit with Magik. And of course she’s a mystic so we have to throw in The Sorcerer Supreme.
