The main idea of this deck is to give you as much access to your arrows as possible and allow you to keep playing them. It's probably easiest to understand how this deck works by explaining the role of each ally here.
Nebula: She is the target of Cameo and the centre piece of this deck. The goal is to play her and recall her (Make the Call and Rapid Response) as frequently as you need to search your deck for whatever arrows event you need. This turns your whole deck into an extended quiver. The play pattern with her will be to put her in play, search for an arrow, use a basic activation, then chump block that turn so that she is available for recall next turn.
Gamora: Since you will be pulling arrows out of your draw pile so frequently, you may find you run out of arrows. This is the reason Gamora is here. Use her to mill your own deck to get those arrows back where you need them. She can be tricky to get into play with the guardian restriction, so we are bringing along Call for Backup and Make the Call to bypass her restriction. Once she is in play you will want to keep her online, so we are bringing along First Aid so she can keep digging for more events.
Groot: One of Hawkeye's biggest drawbacks is survivability. Groot is very handy here since he typically can block 2-3 times before he gets defeated. As long as the villain isn't hitting too hard, he should be able to mostly take care of your survivability issue. You can get extra value out of his huge hit point pool with Noble Sacrifice and get a big heal back along with a tough card. He also comes with a Guardian restriction, but we have the same options to get him online as Gamora.
Stinger: With all the arrows you will be pulling to hand, the next trouble is how to play them. Exhausting the bow is a huge toll to pay and the only way to ready it is by exhausting Hawkeye. Stinger's job is to be a cheap, slotless ally to be a target for Earth's Mightiest Heroes which will allow you to ready Hawkeye so that you can ready the bow and shoot more arrows.
Rest of the deck: there are a couple of extra pieces which are less essential to the core of this deck. We are bringing along Maria Hill and Nick Fury for the extra thwarting, card draw and chump blocking. The Triskelion gives you the extra ally slots to play them. They could definitely be removed, but since we will be purging our arrows out of our deck, we want to run through the deck as quickly as possible and they help with that. They also bring along some thwarting consistency and extra blocks if something goes wrong with Groot. Avenge Me! is also here to help with the card draw.
I have run this deck a few times in solo and in one two player game. At its strongest, it can be a decently powerful way to play Hawkeye since it addresses his three key weaknesses: survivability, thwarting, and consistency. It does sometimes work out a little janky if Nebula or Gamora end up on the bottom of your draw pile. It is also a bit slow to start due to the two card penalty on Cameo.
The play restrictions on Gamora and Groot aren't too much of a challenge, but it would be handy, if you are playing along side another Guardian player to ask them to bring along Honorary Guardian to help smooth your deck out.
