If Doctor Strange can be said to have a weakness, it's dealing with minions. Magic Blast and Crimson Bands of Cyttorak are expensive haymakers that look awkward in the face of a few, possibly tough minions.
Another annoyance of playing Doctor Strange to me is that his best turns involve activating Winds of Watoomb, possibly even two or three times, but if you have full ally slots and/or several duds in hand, those turns can still feel a bit lackluster.
Enter The Bellerophon.
The big red helicarrier gobbles up minions while pushing relevant villain damage, and when drawn during a WoW turn, can efficiently use up lots of resources. Don't forget that the Bellerophon ignores retaliate and stun and can even be used in alter-ego form. Spiritual Meditation pulls a lot of weight here too, helping dig towards double resources, find action in a resource-heavy hand (I am playing 2x PoA), or find other playable cards if The Bellerophon is too expensive for a given hand.
A couple other saucy cards are In-Betweener and Boot Camp. Both cards fit the same criteria of being 2+ cost aggression cards, thus giving value to PoA, and being playable on an explosive WoW turn. I've also been looking for places to use the Cosmic Entities ever since the rule change in RR1.7. Boot Camp is a low priority play but makes a nice Build Support target if Quincarrier has already been played.
The deck plays 6 aggression allies, granting lots of cards to spend PoA on, and 5 are Avengers to enable one of the best Earth's Mightiest Heroes users in the game.

This is the "fun" version of the deck I built for multiplayer at the Con of Heroes 2026. I ran a slightly more optimized version (https://marvelcdb.com/deck/view/1081069) through a testing gauntlet to assess it's strength. Note: "Heroish" is played following Expert Heroic rules but without the Expert modular set of Under Fire, Exhaustion, and Masterplan. All games used Standard 1.

A+ title, and great idea for Strange. I’m a bit of a Strange apologist these days, and I enjoy him quite a bit.
