The X-men are my favorite team and Nightcrawler is by far my favorite hero. This is a my 2nd themed deck with Nightcrawler (the first one being a leadership deck), and it focuses in on X-men fun and Nightcrawler themes, So no Avengers Mansion, no Nick Fury, no Mockingbird (so forth and so on...)

The idea - Nightcrawler likes to teleport and in so doing, he causes those he teleports with him to get nauseous and experience intense physical pain and vertigo.

The two teleporting events:

Battlefield Benevolence - Nightcrawler teleports to the villain and teleports the villain from mortal danger. Saving him (heal 2) but causing the villain an episode of vertigo (confusion).

Upside the Head - Nightcrawler teleports the villain several times causing damage (the basic attack) and then causing nausea (either a confusion or stunned effect).

Both of those are events so his Prehensile Tail can pay for them.

Professor X and Dazzler also provide moments of confusion.

Nightcrawler, however, has become use to all this dimensional teleporting so he has built up his Endurance and his Heroic Conditioning for all this teleportation.

Invisibility Gear is not "tech" at all in this deck. It is Nightcrawler's ability to hide in shadows. With all this confusion going on, this could eliminate a villain activation one round when you want to stay in hero form.

Though Bamf! can be used to help defend, this deck leans more into Kurt's Chapel. So let Nightcrawler take a hit. He will want to teleport out of the way in a different way by switching to alter ego a lot. All the confusion going on will stop the villain from scheming. Then on the next turn we can heal and draw a card. With Down Time in play, we can heal for 6 and draw a card (with Kurt's Chapel in play).

Since we are power down a lot, let's talk to Moira MacTaggert about helping out. Each time we power up, we can draw a card.

So when we start in alter-ego, we can pull a Bamf! from the deck, heal with Kurt's Chapel and draw a card, power up and draw a card (with Moira MacTaggert) and have 9 cards in our hand in hero form.

Besides Daytripper, all of our allies are x-men. After powering up, we can play an x-men and use Utopia to ready Nightcrawler.

Chamber is here to attack confused villain with no consequential.

While in the shadows, Nightcrawler is watching the villain gathering intel so Under Surveillance gives us some breathing room with the main scheme.

X-Gene is perfect for Nightcrawler's mutant background and his religious fervor has provided all the Deft Focus one can need (not to mention his trips to the Kurt's Chapel.
