CORE+ SERIES
Welcome! This is my first deck as part of the CORE+ Series. In this series, I will build a deck using only one hero pack and the core box.
This series is meant for newer players to the game who may have a limited collection. These decks aren't fully optimized, but it gives a great starting point for newer players who are dipping their toes into deck building. Without further adu, grab your coffee and lets go!
We want to include several allies for blocking, and it helps that these allies have additional value. Maria Hill and Nick Fury provide card draw. Mockingbird can stun the enemy, and Thor is good value.
We'll want our allies to attack often, so we'll include three copies of Get Ready. We'll also include two copies of Make the Call to bring some back if need be. Limitless Stamina is essential for Hercules, as he needs all the activations he can get. I included two copies of First Aid for healing Hercules when necessasy.
Call for Backup is included so that we can easily get Nick into play for instant card draw, damage, or thwarting. When htis side scheme is defeated, it's removed from the game, thinning your deck out and increasing your odds of drawing something better!
Avengers Compound is great for thinning your deck as well as keeping an ally on the side to play at a later time. Avengers Mansion will give that much needed card draw in hero form, but it's best played in the early game. Quincarrier is a resource generator that will help at any point as well. The Triskelion is included just incase you get 4 allies into play. Plus, it's good to have a cheap card in play to discard later if necessary.
Avenge Me will do a lot of heavy lifting. Have this on an ally and use them to block to draw more cards. Note: for Nick Fury, his card states that he is discarded after play, which will not trigger this draw effect.
With that said, please feel free to check the link below to see this deck in action!
