The Thrill Is The Kill

"They say I'm the best there is... but I sure as @#&% don't feel that way. Now that I'm the hunted. Now that I'm the prey." — Logan, Predator vs. Wolverine #1

latest?cb=20231010063519

Concept

Two apex predators. One decloaks to face the other as a worthy opponent — no tricks, no ambush. Just the kill. This deck plays like that fight: Wolverine takes the pain, hits harder because of it, and floods the board with X-Men who keep him moving. The Predator hunts Logan. Logan hunts everything else.

Aggression is the only honest choice. This deck doesn't protect, doesn't coordinate, doesn't seek justice — it ends fights. The aspect arms Logan with the events that make his Claws sing: Clobber, Precision Strike. Pure offense, built for a man who heals faster than he bleeds.

Key Cards

Attack Events

Card Why It Matters
Wolverine's Claws Take the pain. Send an attack event screaming across the table for free — with Piercing
Clobber Three Piercing damage, back in your hand, round after round. The pain is the price
Fluid Motion Every hit lands harder than the last — +1 ATK surging through the phase

X-Men Allies

Card Why It Matters
Utopia The island answers every arrival — an X-Men steps in, Wolverine moves again
Adamantium Skeleton Bonded to his bones — +4 HP, +1 ATK, and every basic strike cuts through armor
Team-Building Exercise The family keeps coming. Discounts flowing, the board builds itself

How to Play

Mulligan for: Fluid Motion or Utopia. Either one in your opening hand and the hunt begins.

Early game: The bones come first. Adamantium Skeleton and Combat Training forge the weapon — every strike that follows lands with more weight. Then The X-Jet and Team-Building Exercise fall into place, keeping Wolverine ready and the X-Men answering the call.

Mid game: The loop runs itself. Claws into Clobber, Clobber back to hand, Fluid Motion pushing the next strike harder. The X-Men keep arriving — and every time they do, Utopia pulses, the island stirs, and Wolverine moves again. Relentless. Cutting.

When to flip: The Claws damage feeds Regenerative Healing — this deck sustains itself in hero form. Only retreat to Logan when the engine isn't online yet and the hits are threatening to end the hunt early.

Inspired by Benjamin Percy's Predator vs. Wolverine. Two hunters. One jungle. The one who walks out is the one who was never afraid to bleed.
