Deck Overview
Hey guys, this deck is my new favorite deck. It is SO much fun! I have taken it up against everyone tough on expert, except Ronan on Expert (I plan to soon). It clears scheme and puts out a lot of Damage.
Because Ironheart has 3 def, you’re defending primarily with her. And there are ways to get her Tough status as well, so again she is the primary source of damage mitigation. I tend to not rely on my allies as much to chump block.
I typically take the first hit to the face and don’t defend, because I will need her available to help thwart or take out a minion. You will be using New and Improved in your third form to ready up and get a Tough to help.
Also don’t be afraid to stay in Alter Ego for the first round if you can afford to. Getting 6 more cards will help you level up in round 2!
You tend to go down a lot more early game and having the confuse from Sonic Rifle and Dazzler can help you flip down safely!
Allies
Let's talk about the allies and why they are in here.
Dazzler - She is there to confuse the villain and she has 3 life so she can also thwart or attack 3 times!
Wasp - is so cheap and you can thwart up to 4 over 2 turns.
Grant Ward - Omg this guy gets so much value in this deck! You rarely don’t have a mental (blue) resource in your hand or not have ingenuity out. This pays the cost when a treachery comes out to keep him out there and not attacking you!
Wiccan - He is in there mainly for your harder villains who have dangerous cards that he mills to do damage and he is very inexpensive to play and can be used for his mental (blue) resource.
Moon Girl - This is one of the coolest aspects of this deck. You can keep recurring her by utilizing chance encounter and draw SOOOO many cards.
Find What You Need
You are going to use your bunker to find the cards you need along with One Way or Another to draw 3 cards, Moon Girl to also typically draw 3 cards, and Face the Past to draw cards. This deck has SOOO much card draw without Nick Fury!
You will also being drawing cards with Tony Stark A.I, Clear the Area, and Stroke of Genius.
Level Up
As far as leveling up your suit. If you can stay in Alter Ego for the 1st round you typically can reach your second form on your 2nd turn and your third form on your 3rd turn. And sometimes, if everything goes your way your second form on your 2nd turn!
You level up fast, you put out tons of damage and you have ways to confuse the villain to go down and take advantage of Ronnie Williams and your Mental (blue) resource for a Progress Counter.
Mulligan
Your mulligan should be looking for Ronnie, Ingenuity, resources, and Moon Girl. If you need to clear scheme early look for a Fly over and if you need to deal with a minion early look for your Photon beam. Always try to get 2 progress points but don't be afraid to grab only 1. I recommend keeping Face The Past if you get it and just go up to hero form even if you planned on staying down because clearing your nemesis is a breeze!
Final Thoughts
Did I mention how much I love this Deck! I only play on Expert and if you have been hesitant to, make this deck, you won’t be disappointed! Please give this a try and let know how it goes in the comments!

Apr 19, 2026Love the writeup! Those movies are all so special. You've got this deck tagged for Con of Heroes this year - have you played it in 3/4 player games? I ask because just looking at the events, I would worry about its ability to keep up with threat scaled to large multiplayer games. It's much harder to hit the kickers for Clear the Area and Turn the Tide, and those numbers don't scale as well for the amount of threat and HP that will be out there. Similarly, One Way or Another, in my experience, can be quite risky in 4 player - if you can't clear the scheme when it comes out, that's a lot of added pressure on the table. Of course, once Ironheart gets to Version 3 she can win most games by herself -- so all of that may be moot! But, if you haven't tried this deck at higher player counts, maybe give it a whirl before the Con. |

Regarding your other point, I am heading to COH, never been to a convention or played a 4 player game and someone else just pointed this out to me. I mainly play solo and some two player with my son. This deck crushes in solo and does so well in 2 player but after talking with that person I realized i may need to sub out some cards to make this work better in 4 player for example removing "clear the area" for " for justice" or a better card for thwarting. Do you think I should change the title and remove COH then? |
Love the write up!
