The Silent Empire

This deck felt a lot like the beginning of the Black Panther movie, where the Wakandans are secretly taking care of Wakandan problems in the shadows. This Silent Empire stays out of the way of the world and takes care of its own problems without the world even noticing. Here is what you want to do:
-
Focus on getting the Dora Milaje kit out and attach Energy Shield to them. Do not worry, you have plenty of energy resources in your deck to keep them from taking consequential damage. Then let them do their thing.
-
Spend your turns protecting your people. Yes, Cuts Both Ways is always the right answer, giving you that sweet, sweet 2 points of retaliate damage.
-
Excelsior is a nice touch, after the Dora Milaje are out, to add just a touch more damage each time you defend.
-
Get your upgrades out as needed. The Vibranium Suit is helpful to get a little boost in health when you need it.
-
Stronger Togetheris always helpful to prevent consequential damage if needed or to take care of your allies when you need them to protect you.
Overall, I found this CE 1.7 build to have some of the most interesting decision points. Each turn was about making sure I put the puzzle together just right, yet you could clearly see these Wakandans making their silent attacks and not letting up on their prey. Do not cross this Empire; they are silent and deadly. He is the king of Wakanda, not yet the King of the Dead. He will take care of his people.

Apr 14, 2026Always love seeing a protection deck! It's also great to see BP T'Challa used in a new way! I always forget about Energy Shield and I didn't know it could prevent consequential! Always seems like a new application for cards! |
