All the Small Things

This deck was created after a randomizer assignment: Spider-Man (Leadership) paired with Captain America (Protection) against Expert Escape the Museum with Goblin Gimmicks and Mystique.

I didn’t want to build a Spider-Verse deck, so I went with an Avengers approach instead. That’s probably been done before, but I had just gained access to Avengers Compound and Resource Reserve, and I wanted to make those cards shine.

The star of the show is Spectrum. She’s expensive, but when played at the right moment, she becomes a huge asset.

The goal is simple: flood the board with allies. With Avengers Tower, you can control up to four allies—and with Stinger, even five.

To keep your turns smooth and avoid dead cards, Avengers Compound and Resource Reserve do a lot of heavy lifting. Spectrum stuck in hand without The Power of Leadership? Store her under Avengers Compound. No use for a resource card? Bank it in Resource Reserve for later use—either for yourself or your teammate.

Face the Past helps you accelerate your setup. Since Spider-Man’s nemesis minion isn’t a major threat, you can use it aggressively to draw three cards and ready Spidey.

Regroup keeps Spectrum in rotation, and Make the Call brings her right back if needed. You can also tuck Make the Call under Black Panther so you have it at your demand.

Once Mighty Avengers hits the table, your army of allies—alongside Spider-Man—quickly turns into a serious win condition.

In the end, it’s all the small things—incremental value, efficient resource use, and a steady flow of allies—that come together to win you the game.

As mentioned, this deck is part of a duo. Be sure to also check out my Captain America (Protection) deck: {name}.
