Game plan
Classic Logan: hit hard, pay with health, heal it back, repeat. While Aggression solo often pushes you toward a pure rush strategy, this deck goes a step further - it builds Wolverine into a late-game monster while maintaining solid board control.
With upgrades like Endurance, Combat Training, Aggressive Conditioning, and Fluid Motion, Logan quickly turns into Hulkerine - sitting at 20 HP and swinging for 6 ATK!
Meanwhile, your X-Men allies handle the “boring” stuff like thwarting, and Utopia keeps your tempo high by readying Wolverine for even more attacks.
Key cards
- Utopia - the engine of the deck. Turns every X-Men ally into a pseudo-ready for Logan.
- Endurance - more HP = more fuel for Wolverine’s abilities.
- Combat Training, Aggressive Conditioning, and Fluid Motion - scaling your attack to absurd levels.
- X-Men allies package - they keep threat under control and enable Utopia plays.
- Resource generators + doubles - smooth out the curve and enable explosive turns.
Game flow / tips
- Early game: Set up your economy and at least one attack upgrade. Don’t rush blindly - you’re stronger once built up.
- Mid game: Start chaining big turns. With Utopia online, you can attack, play an ally, ready, and attack again.
- Late game: You’re a monster. At this point you can usually outpace the villain completely - either by raw damage or by stabilizing the board while setting up the finisher.
- Health is a resource: Don’t be afraid to spend it - Wolverine is designed for that. Just make sure you have ways to recover.
- Threat management: Let your allies do the work. You can thwart, but your main job is deleting enemies.
Performance
Tested against all 6 Civil War wave leaders, then pushed further into Nebula and Ronan - all cleared on Expert without losses.
Final thoughts
This deck hits the sweet spot between “unga bunga Wolverine smash” and actual control. You still get those satisfying double-attack turns, but without losing to a random scheme flip.
