Why is Gamora so satisfying?

Satisfying is the way I would describe the feeling of each turn when I play this deck in solo. It is tactical but not strategic. I just put on my green lipstick, kill all the minions, clear all the side schemes, keep the main scheme clear, and then kill the bad guy. Good times. Not a brain burner and not much sequencing. Just satisfying turn after satisfying turn.

Gamora is satisfying

Tactical but not strategic

Great beginner deck too since the only cards they need to be checking are Gamora, Jarnbjorn, and Gamora's Sword. Instructions are to play their resource generators early (which is pretty standard) and then to play whatever fun things make sense each turn.

Learning point for new players would be that they can use both of Gamora's abilities each phase, not round. This means that with just Gamora's Sword out, Crosscounter is a one cost defense that prevents 3 damage, thwarts for 2 and does 3 damage!

Hit the ground running

Not much time for buildup but you do have three cheap resource generators (Keen Instincts, Martial Prowess) and a Player Side Scheme that can eventually grab your expensive Sword. At that point you just try to play an attack and a thwart event each turn while keeping threats under control and throwing the rest at the Villain. It won't take long until Clear the Area and Precision Strike give you that warm fuzzy feeling when played at the right time.

Lots of fun things to do

Plenty of status effects from Mockingbird, Professor X, Concussive Blow, Cutupper, and Drop Kick. Card draw and chump blocking from Ironheart and Nick Fury. Throg can hopefully cancel two Villain attacks and Blade can block a minion for 2 before defending the Villain (and often is a target for extra Physical resources, as is Jarnbjorn).

Good for solo or multiplayer

In solo this has defeated Standard Magneto. I like Magneto as a test for any Hero who uses stuns and confuses and it could handle him on standard but not expert. However it absolutely destroyed Expert Klaw. So I would assume it is strong against any standard Villain and fine in expert unless they are Stalwart or you need to one-shot their last stage.

In multiplayer this is the perfect support deck to play while your buddy is building up their massive combo. Just sit back and enjoy satisfying turn after satisfying turn until they finally get to do their 12% of the plan. Ah, good times.
