WAKANDA FOREVER!

but do real work - NEVER!

This is a solo deck. I haven't tried it in a multi player setting because I myself am rather lackadaisical.

It's an unusual deck. Not once do you flip to hero form. In fact, if you do, you instantly lose (in my eyes at least - I'm watching).

But how do you win? By defeating the villain obviously. That's what Aneka, Ayo, and Okoye are here for. Our King doesn't want to get his hands dirty, he rather sit home and watch Boomer TV. Shuri doesn't even need to come out to play, but she can if you need her to.

Opening Hand

So, you'll want to mulligan hard for The Golden City. Being in Alter Ego with essentially an 8 card hand is just chef's kiss. Getting Avengers Mansion out as easly as possible is great too. Other great card to seek: Helicarrier, The Raft, and Dora Milaje (which is going to be a free costing card, so don't forget that!).

Strategy

So, this deck requires some thinking. We'll want to try and get out all 3 of our Dora Milaje warriors. When one attacks, it'll activate the special of another. The way I prefer doing it for maximum damage:

  • Activate Ayo targeting Okyoe's Special. Okoye's Special will target Aneke (giving her +1 attach/thwart).
  • Activate Okoye targeting either Ayo or Aneka's Special.
  • Exhaust Dora Milage support, healing and activating the Special of Okoye (preferably) again, targeting Aneka again (giving her a total of +2 attack/thwart).
  • Attack with Aneka, hitting for a base of 4 attack and activating the Special of Ayo.

If done properly, that should be a total of 9-10 damage. In solo, that's a good chunk of damage to the villain or minions. We typically won't be concerned for minions though.

Why don't we care about minions?!?!?

We are running three amazing preparations in this deck, Sting Operation, Informant, and Counterintelligence. So Informant and Sting Operation combo and work so well together. Not only will a minion remove threat, but then they'll be discarded as well. If The Raft is out, they'll remove even more threat then! If practiced plan is out, then we can do the removing of threat again from another minion if there's one out! Counterintelligence will also help when the villain schemes, often completing negating their entire scheme! So much value at such a low cost! For those elite minions, have no fear! We have 3 beat cops on our payroll that can handle them.

Threat Removal

Usually The Douglass is an awful card to include for decks, but we'll have nothing but cards at our disposal. It comes in handy with this deck. We will also use Going Undercover to try to get rid of some problematic cards if we can. It feels to incredibly good using this to get rid of Shadows of the Past. Command Center is a nice addition to thin our deck and to hit for more damage. Also we have Disguise to help our AE do something other than just sit there.

Final Thoughts

We'll have a very thin deck when we have all our upgrades, supports, and allies out. First Aid will be used to heal up our allies to keep them in the game longer. Our Black Panther upgrades aren't necessary to be out on the field, but then help thin things out more. Ancestral Knowledge is amazing at shuffling cards from our discard pile back in to our deck. It's a very simple, easy to learn beginner deck. Or it can be used to change things up from time to time. The choice is yours, your majesty!
