Deck Description

Things getting a little too hot? Might be time to cool off!

This deck was tested this before the Con of Heroes 2025 and I have been tinkering with it ever since. I have run a variety of scenarios and player counts, and it can be a little tricky early on, but Iceman has a ton of survivability early on, and this deck provides tools to manage the board until you're all set up and going crazy.

The deck focuses on getting Iceman the support he needs, in the form of:

  1. Healing Factor to stay in hero form longer and keep Self Confidence, Self Preservation, and Self Control going strong
  2. Staying in hero form also keeps Ice Slide going for as long as possible to get maximum use out of the stat boosts
  3. Stick-To-Itiveness and Utopia to get those precious readies that Iceman loves
  4. Lots of resource generators: Deft Focus, Team-Building Exercise, The X-Jet
  5. AE support with Moira MacTaggert, X-Mansion, and Mutant Education--flip down when you have a few frostbites and shuffle in up to 8 of your identity-specific cards back into your deck

Play mutants, ready, and do Iceman things. What else is there?

Good callback to Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. That show was fun and so is Iceman with Web Warriors. Built a deck to get more readies and resources out of Iceman's kit.

Nice deck! I love Healing Factor here. Did you find that Mutant Education was consistently getting used in playtesting? I'm hesitant to throw it into an Iceman deck because I hate shuffling Ice Slide back into the deck, but I'm interested to hear your take!
