Summary

It's time to unspoke and dust off those old 'Pool cards; Tigra has been anxiously waiting for her first Pool deck on MarvelCDB! With this deck, you will have a variety of tools to handle and manage minions. This deck will function in both solo and multiplayer (although solo Pool can inherently be swingy due to the added icons). I was surprised with how helpful Pool allies are for minions, making Pool an excellent choice for Tigra.

Setup

Focus on getting your best upgrades/supports like Quincarrier, Healing Factor, Laser Swords, and Stick-to-Itiveness. You have some allies available to you that are useful for managing minions. Dogpool can take some hits from minions that are not stunned. Lady Deadpool can simply defeat a pesky non-elite minion. Headpool can make minions (ideally ones that are not stunned) attack each other. Kidpool can get around tough cards on minions.

Winning

Use Distraction in a pinch to lock down a minion as long as you have main scheme threat under control. Use attack events like Cutupper on the villain or on a minion if you need it defeated. This deck should be pretty straightforward, but if you are playing solo make sure you are saving some attack for the villain so you don't get stuck fighting minions the whole game.

Update!

These cards aren't in this deck, but these are other grrrrreat choices to slot into this deck. Feel free to comment if you have others that I could add to this list!

  • Face the Past is excellent because it readies Tigra, draws a bunch of cards, and her nemesis minion is also fairly easy to deal with.

I love those text boxes. I don't know if they'll become a trend, but I'm definitely going to copy that!

@seneca29 Right?! It is so much fun to add in some styling and decoration. If you need a reference, I used html with two div boxes, one inside the other, each with a different border. I’ve found that marvelcdb has a lot of limits on what styles can be used, so what your preview looks like may not be what the published deck will display. Glad you like it, looking forward to seeing your deck and hopefully this becomes a pattern!

I've gotta be honest, I already spent a whole night recreating the exact frame you made for Rocket Raccoon ;)

And I came up with a couple of other ideas that look really cool too! Before publishing it with some cool formatting, I just need a bit more time to test the deck against the strongest villains and see how powerful it actually is.

Hopefully, in the meantime, nobody else will come up with a similar build and post it before I do... ;)

@seneca29 Wow, I admire your perseverance, looking forward to seeing the final product! It's funny, most of the work for me was figuring out why the preview looked nothing like the published deck, only to realize I had to change a lot of what I had done to meet marvelcdb standards. This makes me wonder what other cool styling can be done here!

As soon as I saw this I thought of 'Pool Inspection. Use Distraction on all the minions and use Pool inspection to clear the main. Her card draw is top-tier (ensuring you see pool inspection every 3rd turn or so) and with the amulet and extra cards, she can afford it.

@Footballcoach I love that idea! I started with that card, but even with Tigra's card draw that could still be tricky to consistently get a hold of. Also in solo, there are less situations where you would have 5 threat on the main, and in multiplayer, that crisis icon could get dangerous quick. But I think that would be a fascinating card to build around!
