I didn’t bother to check to see whether this is a rules violation, but I wanted to play the Super-Soldiers team-up card in true solo without the requisite ally. This can only be done with Winter Soldier in Leadership using the Captain America title upgrade.

So since this conceit is already ridiculous, let’s double down on vibes. Rapid Response recursion shenanigans with Maria Hill. Clint Barton/Hawkeye in play softens up minions for Winter Solider to finish off to trigger his hero ability. John Walker/U.S. Agent and Sam/Wilson Falcon are here purely for MCU theme. Triskelion is unnecessary but on hand just in case the hero-specific Black Widow ally needs to pop in, too.

Get Ready can get Maria Hill off the table quicker, snagging two or three cards drawn in a turn. Her 2 thwart with Mission Leader might get everyone at the table even another card. If you want to make great use of Get Ready, add the Goliath ally. In a completely different hero deck, I inadvertently discovered he can do 10 damage in a turn with that, 15 if you have Inspiring Presence, too. Options.

Captain America’s Shield requires spending a strength resource, so Get Ready has a strength icon. Squared Off does as well but is a solid card regardless since Winter Soldier can never get enough minions to steamroll. The other bits (Helicarrier, Front Organization, Practiced Plan) are here to get his hero-specific upgrades in to play and keep them on the table.

And, of course, playing Captain America on Bucky Barnes, then flipping up to Winter Solider is the sweet spot for some Super-Soliders team-up action...without the team! Very on point for the man who came in from the cold.
