This is an updated version of an older deck that has been tweaked and tuned based on playtesting.
Notes
- Create "problems" with Player Side Schemes, Face the Past, and One Way or Another, then solve them with your Photon Beams and Fly Over to ramp up progress counters.
- Photon Blasters and Propulsion Jets are very high priority. They help up set up your counter-ramping finishers and generally generate a ton of value.
- Use excess power counters to win the game.
Key changes
- Removed Lay Down the Law. It's too inconsistent.
- Increased Assess the Situation from 2x to 3x. This helps us power up faster.
- Added Wasp for additional thwarting and chump blocking.
- Removed Clear the Area. It's only efficient if we remove the last threat, which is hard to guarantee while also being efficient. There's also a conflict with Fly Over, which also wants to remove the last threat.
- Added Deadpool. He's well-rounded, efficient, and has a wild resource, and can be paid for with Power in All of Us.
- Removed Sense of Justice. We aren't running enough thwart events to justify its 3ER cost. Cards like Ingenuity and Helicarrier are more flexible.
- Added Build Support and Superpower Training. In multiplayer, we can easily give one of these to another player to get our deck count back down to 40.
- Added Face the Past. We can usually take her out with a single Photon Beam, which can be paid for with the cards it draws, giving us 2 progress counters and a ready in the process.
- Reduced The Power in All of Us to one copy. We don't want to get mana flooded.
- Consider adding Professor X if the villain can be confused.
