With us attending a multi-table event this weekend, my son asked for help as he wants to play Groot in Protection. So here we go…
With all allies as Guardians, by having Knowhere, you’re getting card draw every time you play one, plus, Starhawk has the potential for repeated uses in one round - Thwart for 1, next round then Attack for 2, return to hand, play him, Thwart for 1, etc.
Not a huge amount of green event cards, but enough to be effective and offer some help to others with stun capability and defending for them, of course both could be played at the same time if you have them.
Whack on a good few upgrades; Unflappable also offers card draw, Armoured Vest to make sure defence events are effective, Dauntless and Elecrostatic Armour essentially for some retailiate, and you’ll cycle through your deck for Groot’s events, reduced in cost with Deft Focus.
Well, I hope my son approves…
