Can it cheese? Is it cheesy? I don't know, I just really like quesadillas!
Basic idea: Like most Adam Warlock decks, you want to cycle through your deck as much as possible. So, we get the Upgrades, Supports and Allies out on the board to thin that deck and hit hard with Spell and Warlock's Event cards.
Game plan: We want Adam's Cape and Senses out along with Soul World, as is the case for all Adam decks. Focus on upgrades and support early on to really get those big pushes on Villain health and Threat later, while thinning the deck. Card draws are going to start racking up and bigger and bigger plays from your hand that will be devastating to the Villains.
Combos and notable card plays:
- Clear the Area with Followed or Zone of Silence can help net some damage or deck burn, or even a card to finish out a play from your hand.
- Unflappable with Shield Spell for big hits from enemies is a great deck burner.
- Shake It Off has saved my skin many times against a multiple activation phase from the Villain or when my minion mashers are not in play or playable.
- The Night Nurse is going to perform a function for way less than Adam Warlock's Alter-Ego; tossing off Statuses.
- Followed and Under Surveillance, never leave my Justice decks without them.
- Heroic Intuition and Combat Training are here to boost my boy's sad stat line.
- Welcome Aboard and Summoning Spell are going to net you a free or 1 cost minion in most cases.
- Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon), Squirrel Girl, and Valkyrie are here to mash minions. Tigra can also be a constant threat with her healing against minions.
- Please note: Squirrel Girl can also be a huge help with all those pesky Tough statuses.
- White Tiger's card draw is really helpful (especially in Expert) and her stats are decent.
- Brother Voodoo can be great for getting a little extra out of your hand if you don't quite have the event play you want.
Replaceable cards:
- Endurance: Who doesn't love it? And it definitely pulls its weight here, but it is not absolutely necessary for the deck to work.
- The Sorcerer Supreme: Makes sense if you have the card to include it here and it does its job well, but not vital to the deck.
- Tigra: Rarely use her if another 3 cost ally is an option (maybe Brother Voodoo (see below)), but she has managed to hold many rounds with her healing mechanic.
- Brother Voodoo: Pulling an event is great but with limited resource generators and only a five card pull there is likely another card that could fill another function here for Protection.
- Heroic Intuition and Combat Training: I have played quite a few games where these played little to no factor.
