Resources! This team-support deck takes advantage of Black Panther's resources while using the discard pile to double-down on resources.
Ancestral Knowledge, The Golden City, Vibranium, Strength, Genius, Energy,
These 8 cards are the core of the deck. Just tons of resources that you can get out of the discard pile to buy more stuff. These exist in almost every build. Nothing special here, it's just how we use them.
Necessity is the mother of invention. I build out my whole box (all decks) for game night, so that's a tricky economy which most players don't have to deal with. The goal is to play a bunch of cards which help the team. Ancestral Knowledge is almost always used to pull double-resource cards out of the discard pile ==> to play more expensive team cards.
Anyone can make this deck better. This is really a simple template which can be changed for small or large collections. In this deck, the team support cards are:
Avengers Mansion, Quincarrier, Helicarrier, Med Team, Black Widow,
Some of the team support cards are a staple, but anyone can add better (expensive) allies. It's fun because Wakanda Forever! is so cheap, you can keep playing support cards and allies while fighting. In 2-player, this is probably too much support, but in 3-4 player, someone always needs extra help.
There are only 10 event cards in this deck, and 6 are Black Panther cards. This is upgrade madness! But it thins the deck so much that you can often play 2x Wakanda Forever on your turn.
House Rule *Note that early on, we used to house-rule that Enhanced Reflexes, Enhanced Awareness, and Enhanced Physique were all accessible by the team. Those were great in this deck before I had more expansions. It's a super fun way to play them if you're just starting out; we all liked the cooperative option of sharing resources. Basically, it slows down your tempo to speed up the team's tempo. Except, if you're Black Panther with tons of resources, it doesn't slow you down at all. ;-)
