Huskimo

Jubilee’s pack brings a whole new bunch of interesting aspect cards. One of the best is Paige Guthrie, Husk

Husk is an absolute unit and can demolish whatever you need from the board with her flexibility. That is, if you can pay for it. Bishop does a fantastic job running her, but my favorite easily is with Domino.

The Huskimo combo has 3 pieces: Husk (duh), Jackpot! and Pip the Pug. Once Husk is out and you have Jackpot is hand, it’s time to party.

• Pay with Jackpot to activate each of Husk’s abilities for 1 card
• Flip down to Alter Ego, use your AE ability, then do it again
• Pip puts Jackpot on top of your deck for next turn

You can do the same combo starting in AE, however, you might be tempted to swap for Jackpot with your hero action and do it again. You may want to do it, since in solo that’s pretty much gg (9 damage + at least 2 (another Husk activation) + Domino’s usual)) but I would only do it if you’re gonna close out the game. You could still use Jackpot for your usual things.

Jackpot! is the best case to use for Husk, but don’t fret while you are looking for it. Domino’s wilds mean you can get multiple activations each turn from Husk. You also are basically guaranteed to maximize Three Steps Ahead for some burst thwart.

Mission Training and Sidearm are for Paige to make her even crazier. With Float Like a Butterfly out and hitting each of her kickers Paige becomes a 4/5 ally that readies again at least as a 3/4.

This deck doesn’t live or die on if Husk is out, though. You still have all of Domino’s damage coupled with solid thwart events, and the normal Domino Professor X cheese if you must.

Card considerations

• The Power of Justice could swap 2 of the doubles (recommend Strength and Energy) since it works with Husk and 3SA, but I prefer the doubles for Pistols and early game setup. You have plenty of wilds to compensate for kickers
• Multitalented is another great new card, but I didn’t feel like Domino needed it. She is hard to kill and Luck Be a Lady can almost do all of Multitalented, even better than it if you don’t need the heal. Luck Be a Lady can also heal Husk
• Legion really loves Jackpot!, but really hates the plethora of wilds. Putting him in means you have to prioritize your hero action to trigger his response. He does do great when you are doing the Huskimo combo, but I’m not as keen on him when you’re not. Definitely feels like a “win more” in testing
• Overwatch can just be added in mp. If going over 40 causes anxiety I’d cut Float/Skilled/Husk’s upgrades
• Moira MacTaggert is great and you swap down fairly often. She also felt like a “win more” card
