Groot meets Shield
I love the Shield archetype, and it works so so well with our friend, Groot.
The allies are all Shield. "But where is Agent Coulson?!" I agree. I wanted to keep this deck size at 40, and never use Spider-Woman, so I plugged her in rather than Coulson + a preparation card. Feel free to add those along with this, and Spider-Woman can go rest at home.
"Think Fast" is a necessary add for me, so finding a way to add 1 more could be fun.
Global Logistics is a GREAT card, and deserves to have 3, but it personally slows the game down SO much to spend time with encounter deck manipulation, that 9 times out of 10 I would rather just deal with what comes and move past it.
Homeland Intervention is our big hitter for threat removal.
Field Agent and Surveillance Team ideally come into play and do not leave. And then Monica Chang fuels the Surveillance Teams.
With my starting hand I am usually targeting set-up pieces like Fertile Ground, Deft Focus, and Helicarrier.

Have you considered adding Chance Encounter to let you get Monica back out more often? I’ve had some good luck with it in a similar Groot deck.
