My Spider-Man list that fought solo against Green Goblin's Risky Business and Mutagen Formula scenarios. Intended to be beginner friendly, I built this using just the Core Set and Red Skull expansion. I picked the Justice aspect to supplement Spidey with some thwart since since his hero cards have innate damage evasion (Backflip, Webbed Up) and decent offense (Swinging Web Kick, Black Cat).

  • Risky Business
    • While Norman was active, I took the first few turns to setup some Ally/Support/Upgrade cards before making him flip over to Goblin to focus on dealing damage.
    • Once Goblin was active, I stayed as Spider-Man as much as possible, dealing as much damage as possible, and inflicting Stun via Mockingbird or Webbed Up and evading damage with Backflip.
    • Spot-healing with Aunt May and First Aid helped to maintain health levels for Goblin's When Revealed damage.

  • Mutagen Formula
    • I focused on primarily removing threat to keep the main schemes at bay, while gradually taking Goblin's health down and defeating minions with allies (Black Cat is able to attack every turn without the recoil damage) and basic attacks.
    • Swinging Web Kick nearly always targeted Goblin; after cycling through the deck once or twice this card can take out a huge chunk of health from Goblin. Occasionally used to take out the higher-health minions like Goblin Knight and Monster.
    • Clear the Area and Surveillance Team were my surprising stars for this scenario.

  • Other Notes
    • Don't forget the Spider Sense Interrupts. Free card draw is good.
    • Remember Peter's Scientist Resource generates not , this is important when trying to remove Goblin's Attachment cards.
    • 2 First Aid might be too much, most of the time when I saw it I wished it was something else. Might trim it down to 1. Also because the Goblin Gimmicks attachments want and to remove them over .
    • Haymaker was just okay. It's not resource efficient at all, but I included it to help a Justice list have more Attack cards to help hit minions. I like it at 2 but it would probably be my first pick to substitute out.

Hope this list can inspire you, please let me know how you'd change this list for the campaign!

Commenting to note that this list cleared Expert mode Risky Business w/ modular Power Drain tonight. Only cycled through the hero and villain decks once!

  • Having 2 First Aid definitely helped more this time around. Norman flipped way more and Green Goblin reveals HURT in Expert mode.
  • 3 Surveillance Team was key to keep threat off the main scheme.
  • Ally support from Black Cat and Nick Fury and Daredevil was great as usual.
  • Heroic Intuition didn't feel as impactful this time, since I was usually attacking with Spidey to keep Norman's Infamy down, or flipped to Peter to use his recovery.
