First of all, Peter Spidey is my all time favorite. Like many other players, I struggled to play solo protection Pete. Web Warrior decks didn't appeal to me, because I wanted Pete to take center stage. I also wanted it to have dedicated Spidey flare.
Yes this is a 50 card deck. I am "pre-using" nightcrawler's Change of Fortune card. No, it is not maximized for efficiency. But....it accomplishes the goal of a fun solo Peter protection deck. I've whooped some Expert 1 villains thus far and will continue to thwip and swing through these jabronis.
Symbiote suit, Thwip Thwip, Spider Tingle, bait and switch all feature our boy on the cover. Along with his identity cards, there will be a whole lot of Peter in this deck. Shout out to Gwen who makes a cameo with jump flip.
To keep it all thematic, Ingenuity shows his genius side along with using resources as an Avenger to craft his own energy barriers and fly around in the quincarrier . Repurpose further highlights Peter's mental capabilities. 2x Warrior of the great Web to increase odds of drawing. Keeping with the theme, we can now play Thwip Thwip and Spider tingle. With a few energy barriers, we can ping the damage onto enemies instead of ourselves. Thwip can help manage minions/villain and Spider tingle helps offset the bonus encounter card from symbiote suit. Keep in mind that these are upgrades and are not limited to 1 at a time. So lock and load to cancel treacheries along with enhanced Spider sense. Deft focus will of course help fund our Spider sense and super awesome swinging web kicks.
The goal is to not exhaust Peter and play defense cards when possible such as jump flip, defiance, powerful punch and the all powerful backflip. Let the shields soak up the excess damage. Dauntless, flow like water, electrostatic armor will help keep steady damage and proc Dauntless. The defense abilities above plus a well timed Powerful Punch can help manage minions and proc Chage of Fortune. Flip down to get some cookies from Aunt May and don't forget Peter's free resource. Try to time flipping down to play Ingenuity.
Of course, the major Peter Problem is thwarting. We've got 2x jump flips and nerves of steel to power them. 3x bait and switch are great and can trigger sone goodies during the player phase before you re-ready and draw your next hand. Symbiote suit gives us a much needed 2 THW. Repurpose web shooter/shields to get a boost to THW when needed. Try to reduce the tech cards to 1 charge left so you minimize the loss from repurpose. Peter is now readied with boost to Thw. Forcefield generator can provide a huge boost but is a little tricky to preserve due to its forced response.
