This damned cat won't stay in the house!

I saw some people talking on FB about Live Dangerously and Shadowcat. Initially I disregarded the idea until I got to thinking "can we consistently keep Shadowcat online?" Well it turns out you can!

Tonight's experiment with Dude, Where's My Cat was a surprising success. Battling the first boss (Brotherhood of Badoon) in the Galaxy's Most Wanted campaign, the combination of Live Dangerously and Shadowcat meant that the entire team got +2 hand size pretty much forever without having to pay the taxes for Live Dangerously.

We set forward with low expectations but by the end of the first test the consensus was we underestimated the value of +8 cards per turn for the team.

Keeping a Shadowcat online every hero phase was consistent and a little boring from the Magik point of view. The mission is simple, draw as many cards as you can in order to Suit Up for Shadowcat, cycle into her with Spiritual Meditation, and then keep her on a leash with Regroup, because this cat is an escape artist. Once the kitty is in the house, she never leaves. As insurance one of the other 3 players also cloned a copy of Shadowcat in case the first Shadowcat dies unexpectedly. But hey cats have nine lives right?

Though a bit boring, this was awesome to behold and we were excited to stretch the boundaries of the game. The pool aspect is truly OP and truckloads of chimichanga fun.

Key notes

This Majik deck is not fit for solo play, unless you're playing two handed with Cable, because Cable from the onset of the game fetches Live Dangerously.

The Cable pairing seems redundant, however Cable nonetheless has the agency to play around in different colors. For our first game, Cable dressed in yellow.

Never throw away Regroup unless you have another way to recover the kitty.

Regroup may be one of the most OP cards for the multi-player environment. The gains are exponential across the team.

We're going to proceed to Scenario two in the GMW campaign, but on Expert III this time.

Much love and credit goes to my friends Matt, Locke, & Tay. They are my brothers in arms and their enthusiasm is a treasure.

Fantastic idea for a deck! You linked to the wrong Shadowcat in your intro para so it took me a couple of takes to understand how this works, but it definitely works pretty well.
