Before i get into the deck i want to say thank you to @andyr. I played his deck Ante Up and it made me want to build a deck around war. I hadn't been too high on the pool aspect but that deck made me a believer in it.
Why is Venom the God of War you ask? Well one thing you need to wage War is resources and venom is resource rich. You also need weapons and Venom brings those to the table in his kit in the form of Multi-Gunand Venom's Pistol. You also need soldiers and Venom took over S.H.I.E.L.D and brings them to the table. The main priority is getting the Symbiote Suit out which gives Venom more life to keep dealing out pain, more cards and bigger attacks. Side Holster allows Venom to have 4 restricted cards. Laser Swords counts as 2 and then you can have either both Venom's Pistol or Multi-Gun and a Venom's Pistol. Superpower Training is in here to grab Multi-Gun. Enter the pool aspect. The main card is War, hence the name of the deck. Venom is so rich that he can throw cards away to deal damage. We have alot of high cost cards to hopefully maximize the damage that War deals. He also has his Symbiote Suit to eat the damage. We bring the resources from the pool aspect to make the rich even more rich. Like Elon Musk rich. We also bring Laser Swords because why not give a Symbiote swords too? Having Laser Swords, Symbiote Suit and both Venom's Pistol brings his Attack to 6 and that doesn't count if other icons are out where he can get up to 8! Stick-To-Itiveness is in here because once again Venom is rich. He can deal a damage to himself to generate a resource which can be used to pay for Stick-To-Itiveness and ready him once per turn. We have Healing Factor to recover damage and keep our health high for the pool resources to get maximum benefits. Rock, Paper, Scissors is utilized to either bring an extra card to the hand or can help you thin out the deck. The allies in this deck can easily be paid for with all of Venoms resources. Nick Fury is great early for draw power and get you set up. Mockingbird is great to stun on entering play. Negasonic Teenage Warhead is great to cancel a treachery and gives another icon to boost your Laser Swords attack. War Machine comes in with a tough to eat an attack. 'Pool Inspection and da bomb seem like unplayable cards and they were initially put in for maximum damage when playing War. However, both are playable with the resources in this deck and in fact useful. Da bomb took out Taskmaster second stage and 'Pool Inspection saved me against Venom Goblin. Any feedback would be appreciated and I'd love to hear how your games go! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
I can’t wait to try this tonight/tomorrow. Cool pool deck!
