I love playing SP//dr to build up and kill both of the villain phases in a single turn and it works in every aspect so here is the Pool version of it. With Adrenaline rush and Laser Swords (Using Plot convenience to save Live Dangerously to get the symbols to max the Laser Swords bonus until either the turn before you burst or the burst turn itself depending on how safe the board is) you can get to 9 atk and with specialized training you can hit an even 10. With Host Spider, SP//dr command, Peter Parker and Stick-to-Itiveness you can have 4 readies on the board so thats 52 damage right there before even considering extra readies from the cards in your hand which will generally be enough for most villains.
At higher player counts you can't really do enough to kill both phases of the villain (Although its still doable on most villains in 2p and a few in 3) so you are better off focusing on building to skip the second phase of the villain. To accomplish this you will usually try and setup to have a high hand size on the burst turn itself by using as many of the following things as you can:
-Flip down to Alter-ego the turn before for 4 cards base (Not my responsibility helps with this and you can even sacrifice an ally to it to draw a card off of web)
-Have multiple Spider allies out with 1 hp (Ghost and Peter at least) and web of life and Destiny
-Avengers Mansion
-Ready to Rumble
-Live Dangerously in play or Stored on Plot Convenience.
Then on the burst turn activate Peni to draw 2 (6/8 cards if you have Live Dangerously from the last turn) flip to hero form using Ready to Rumble to Ready the suit. Get live dangerously off of plot convenience and play it if its not in play from the previous turn then Activate any Adrenaline rushes and kill off Ghost Spider and the 3rd Spider ally (Hobie is nice for the extra damage) to draw 2 cards and search for a All Systems go! (9/11 cards) attack (Drawing a card off of Specialized training 10/12) then Attack with Peter to ready and kill him off to draw a card (11/13) or if you can finagle it you can get another ready off of peter with Get Rage-y if you have 2 hp on him when the turn begins (Which Tic Tac Toe can help facilitate). So at that point you have a ready Hero with 10ish Attack 3 Readies on the board and Probably Several readies in your 10+ card hand ready to unleash on the villain (Don't forget you can use Across the Spider-verse to exhaust the web and pop Peter back into play) and if you reset your deck when drawing all the stuff you might even have an adrenaline rush or 2 back to play again for more Attack power!
This is very much a gimmick build that isn't for everyone but I always have fun playing variations of it and even if you play it in a more standard way its effective at getting the job done since SP//drs kit is so solid as a baseline and she works really well with the Pool meta games to let her always have an outlet for her interface resources and her high amount of on the table readies plays really well with Laser swords even if you only have 1 or 2 symbols on encounter cards.
If you want to play it extra greedy switch either the Helicarrier or Avengers mansion out for a symbiote suit. If you want to play it less gimmicky then switch out the Adrenaline Rush's for Double Resources and if you want to prune it down to 40 cards and play it more for consistency rather than burst you can probably drop the Avengers Mansion, Specialized Training and Probably the Cutupper. In multiplayer I'd toss in Git Gud against stronger villains especially on expert (You'd probably want to throw a game ahead of time to make it cost 0 though).
P.S.- All I want for Christmas is for the designers to say that SP//dr is the same word as Spider so she can use Warrior of the Great Web.
omg for real, i'd love if SP//dr could use Warrior of the Great Web!
