One criticism of building around Honey Badger is that your games can be wildly in consistent. This deck is built to counteract that inconsistency by including five (5) cards that can get you Honey Badger on turn one.

  • Honey Badger
  • Sisterhood
  • Call for Backup to grab Honey Badger
  • Build Support to grab Sisterhood
  • Caliban to discard into Honey Badger

These five cards allow you to get a Honey Badger into play on turn one 85% of the time if you hard mulligan to see twelve cards. 88% if one of the cards you mulligan is Sisterly Bond which you can reshuffle in to draw a card using Laura's alter ego power.

Because we have the ability to discard a large portion of our deck I included the White Fox and Digging Deep package as well as three copies of Make the call to grab a Nick Fury or Maria Hill if the situation warrants.

Once Honey Badger is in play everyone knows that Danger Room Training into Game Time will lead to some absurd turns.

Endurance and Clarity of Purpose give similar effects to cards in Laura's kit which further increases consistency. I found that being able to use Grim Resolve or Clarity of Purpose to ready X-23 instead of X-23's Claws lead to better feeling turns.

X-Force Recruit and Innovation are included to give Honey Badger an extra turn if you are unable to get your Danger Room Training / Game Time loop going. These cards are at the top of my list to get cut as I tweak the deck or new cards come out.
