Hi welcome to the thirty ninth in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

We have our last match-up of a first time playing a hero against a first time playing a villain! Phoenix goes up against Mojo and I have to be honest I didn't get too much of a feel for Phoenix as each game only lasted three or four rounds but I did experience her power with an easy victory on Standard and both games of Expert! Dark Phoenix did make an appearance once but it turned out to be the same turn I defeated Mojo so I didn't need to take her down.

Because of the nature of Mojo, you really just want to hit hard and fast here and go for the rush kill. To that end this is a standard aggressive X-men ally deck and you really just want to focus on getting out a couple X-men with Attack Training and burning hard for Unleashed Phoenix so you can use her upgraded telekinetic attacks and boosted ATK.

In each game I got out maybe 2 out of her 5 supports and thats enough. Play what you get and keep moving towards the goal of defeating Mojo. Between Psylocke, Professor X, Psychic Assault and Telepathic Trickery you'll have plenty of opportunities to confuse the villain so that you can flip down for a rest once or twice a game. Twice will probably be the max since by then you'll be going in for the kill. The last game I played was definitely the longest since I ended up with too many counters on Phoenix and she couldn't go Unleashed.

I didnt feel that any of the various Mojo environments and enemies played a huge role since the games were quick but the one that gives you increased hand size was the easiest game. I did use all six over the course of my three games although Sitcom never came out because I defeated Mojo before the first deck pass on Standard. I'll definitely need to try Phoenix against a slower villain in the future but she is certainly capable of taking down Mojo.
