As far as resource generation cards are concerned, I have played this build several times and not found myself hurt for resources. I think that Helicarrier and Avengers Mansion are not necessary in the deck and a bit too pricey/slow. Kamala can get to her Aamir Khan and Nakia Bahadir as well as the Biokinetic Polymer Suit rather easily in her games due to the fact that you will be discarding cards to get to her upgrades. Once you get 2 of these out, you won't even find that you use Enhanced Reflexes or Enhanced Awareness all that often. But the icons are not of any particular use until a version comes out that would be useful for Tackle in the particular deck style of the protection aspect.

It might seem like a slow process to do so, but spending the time to get out Embiggen! is worth the tempo hit in the long run when you see it in the first couple turns. Shrink is one that I hesitate on playing unless I don't have other things to do. It does get tight with the threat that can be generated, but the goal of this deck is to spend the majority of your time in hero form.

Specifically, as soon as you can get a Tackle in your hand, Ms. Marvel becomes real annoying to the villain. Especially if you have Biokinetic Polymer Suit in play. Once you are in this situation, you can sun the villain and return Tackle to your hand to do it again the following turn. You can almost find yourself in an endless stun cycle fighting the villain and occasionally will find some extra resources to play something else or switch forms for a turn if you can manage to play out one of your Sneak By for a break.

The allies are there to do the majority of keeping the threat in check while you stay in hero form or give you a turn where you don't need to play a more expensive Tackle and take the hit while you play Big Hands twice for added damage in a round.

It works surprisingly well. Just keep in mind that unlike some of the other heroes, it is often worth not trying to play out everything in your hand, but trying to figure out what you will need in the following turn such as a card you can play with Tackle that next turn.

Plays real well with Tony Stark. Using his tower to pull back an energy barrier can offset her draw weakness in hero form on those "just one more" turns.

Yeah, Energy Barrier is a great card with Tony Stark. It is also a 'tech' card for him that will increase his hands size when Tony is in protection aspect. There is someone who wrote an interesting protection aspect deck for him recently using that card.
