I just built this deck for fun and thought I could share. I realized lately that I haven't been playing aggro in quite a while, and thought I would give the Honed Technique/Dive Bomb combo a shot. What's that about Christmas? See below.
Why Spectrum?
Spectrum is a very cool hero that I keep coming back to, and with her native "aerial", she seems like an obvious choice for Dive Bomb.
Plus, she can handle threath and side schemes at the start by going into "photon" mode (I should clarify that I play true solo, expert).
Also, she's got great resources with Energy Duplication and can benefit from Quincarrier since she's an avenger. That means getting your for Honed Technique to trigger, or for Drop Kick is real easy. Helicarrier, Martial Prowess and Deft Focus are also here to help... The more of these you play, the better your endgame.
Spectrum's kit gives you a little a bit of everything, but dealing with multiple minions isn't exactly her strong suit. Until you can play the Honed Technique + Dive Bomb combo, Thor, Valkyrie or Tigra should complement your own attacks nicely.
Start the game by getting rid of side schemes and minions, keep the main scheme at 0 threaths, and keep playing upgrades and supports to have more resource producers. Drop Kick the villain to stun or block with allies to keep your hp as high as possible. Put Honed Technique in play and when you got an opening for payback, melt down the villain using 11 DMG Dive Bombs and your own Gamma Blast.
The result is actually quite powerful and took down every villain easily - so far. I've still got to play campaigns but aside from the few scenarios that are so damn though (cough cough Ronan cough cough), most villains should be more than doable. Mutagen Formula, for instance, felt pretty easy.
And Christmas?
I didn't forget! While I was playing the deck I tought about how cool and much more powerful this deck is going to be by Christmas.
Why? Because by then we should have Mutant Genesis and the Wolverine pack available. IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS STOP READING NOW!
If you've seen the cards that have been revealed, Prof X and Psylocke allies are going to revolutionize aggro in a crazy good way, providing you with 3 possibilities to confuse the villain.
I took the liberty of playing a proxy for both cards, replacing Ironheart with Prof X and Tigra with Psylocke. Absolutely incredible. Feels like Christmas indeed!
Have fun!
I haven't played Spectrum in quite some time. Think I'll take this deck for a spin! Looks great!
