Use Deflection (and Subdue) plus upgrades to prevent villain from damaging you. Use groot to block a minion attack then Shake it Off and he can block next villain attack (or use shake it off on nebula when she does take damage).

Can stay in hero form for multiple rounds. But since she likes to flip, can recycle those important cards. The protection events aren't actually defending, so can work well for other players too.

Burns through the deck fast to recycle techniques. Works well because you are in hero mode when you use deflection. So if you have it the turn you flipped over, and you hopefully have some good techniques on the table do it reduces the risk of discarding them. Or a subsequent turn in hero mode they are already in the discard pile!

Flip to alter ego when safe and if you have Combat Ready to recycle techniques and use Defensive Training to recycle protection events.

Burns through the deck fast, but Nebula struggles a bit with resources. Since these are defense cards, we can't use Nerves of Steel. Might try adding the Enhanced resources.

It is nice to get retaliate from weapons master, some energy barriers and booster boots and wide stance, you can reduce 3/4 damage and return about as much, without worrying about playing event cards.

I would recommend confusing the villain, but of course it depends on the villain and situation. Confusinf let's you flip to alter ego easier. I actually lost a game to Expert Ultron by 2 HP where he was stunned, but if he would have attacked, I could have reflected back enough damage.

I usually play 2 handed, but found she works well in solo due to Wide stance being able to set both the boost and encounter card. Just be careful to remember if the villain will activate or not!

Does Jocasta do anything? You don't have any DEFENSE events

You are correct. I thought deflection was a defense event when I created it. Certainly better options now.
