This deck is designed to take out Ronan in campaign mode on turn 1. The details are up on Reddit, but this is the gist. It assumes you have the Power Stone so Ronan starts with a facedown encounter card.

This is the opening hand you're looking for:

  • 2 Sliding Shot
  • 1 Daring Escape
  • 1 By Any Means/Contingency Plan/Creative Solution/Wing It (campaign market cards)
  • 1 Sure Gamble/Grand Strategy/Tried and True (campaign market cards)
  • 1 other

This is the sequence:

  1. Search for the Element Gun with your setup ability (7 cards in hand)

  2. Flip to hero mode

  3. Play Element Gun for free using Star-Lord's "What could go wrong?" ability (6 cards in hand, +1 facedown encounter card, 2 total)

  4. Shuffle the Universal Weapon back in the encounter deck (+1 facedown encounter card, 3 total)

  5. Make a basic attack to remove Tough

  6. Play Daring Escape to ready, drawing a random card (+1 facedown encounter card, 4 total. Cards in hand: 2 Sliding Shot, 1 By Any Means/Contingency Plan/Creative Solution/Wing It, 1 Sure Gamble/Grand Strategy/Tried and True, 2 other)

  7. Play By Any Means/Contingency Plan/Creative Solution/Wing It to deal at least 1 damage, drawing a random card (Stage I, 13 or less HP. Cards in hand: 2 Sliding Shot, 1 Sure Gamble/Grand Strategy/Tried and True, 3 other)

  8. Play Sliding Shot by discarding your 3 "other" cards, deal 13 damage and go to Stage II (Cards in hand: 1 Sliding Shot, 1 Sure Gamble/Grand Strategy/Tried and True)

  9. Use the Element Gun to deal 3 damage with piercing, paying with the Milano (Stage II, 15 HP)

  10. Play Sure Gamble/Grand Strategy/Tried and True, drawing or returning random cards.

  11. Play Sliding Shot with the help of one of the cards from step 10 for 13 damage (Stage II, 2 HP)

  12. Make a basic attack (we readied in step 6, remember?) for the final 3 damage (Stage II, 0 HP, 1 overkill)

The rest of the deck is built to accommodate this sequence (Plan of Attack finds Sliding Shot and some of the market cards), to let you find the Badoon Headhunter in as many scenarios as possible because he's worth 2 victory points (Angela, Looking for Trouble), and to thwart the campaign sideschemes for even more victory points (Chase Them Down with cards that find minions).
