This is an updated version of my deck I beat Ultron expert heroic 1. this deck is best paired with a good wave clear hero in multiplayer. This deck has performed well against all villains so far at expert level and above.

Also side note I don't foresee any of the new cards from black widow coming into the deck except for maybe quake.

I love it. Don’t see anything I’d change.

Except I would switch out one or both copies of Heroic Intuition for Surveillance Team.

  • Spider-Man can focus on attacking / clearing stun instead of thwarting.
  • He has no way to ready, so his thwarting with HI wouldn’t get better use for that (and ST could help in tough situations where he’s already exhausted and needs to clear threat).
  • It’s a mental resource so Black Cat could draw it.
  • It’s possible Heroic Intuition would get greater mileage in a longer game where Spidey thwarts a lot, but you’ll mainly be thwarting with Daredevil, Mockingbird, Fury, For Justice, and Spider-Tracers.

Anything I’m missing in that equation?

So the problem with surveillance is that it's 3 for 3 thwart which is generally not a good return. You could make an argument for dropping one heroic intuition so that you could have the option of still putting it on yourself or a teammate like Captain America. I can tell you from play testing that putting this on Spiderman even if you only thwart with Spidey 3 times is better than surveillance team and you don't have to replay it unless it's discarded. I would keep one at least and the only other card I would put in would be a one of followed.

Fair enough, and you did best Ultron Heroic 1, so I shouldn’t be quick to offer change. Good point about Heroic Intuition’s use in multiplayer, and the positive that comes from the fact it’s never discarded so it doesn’t cycle back in (even if you only ever use it three times). Although, also, I wasn’t thinking in the context of Ultron, which will probably be a longer game with more opportunity for using Heroic Intuition.

I'm not writing off the point you made as well there is merit to running a one of surveillance crew in the list for the reason you specified. I wouldn't ever cut heroic intuition from the deck completely, but we are also talking about one spot in the deck. At that point it's preference and the difference is minimal.

This deck has also beat goblin mutagen formula heroic 1 which in my opinion is the roughest for a justice deck right out of the gate because you have 4 encounter cards per person. Looking back on what you said if you wanted to drop one heroic intuition for a surveillance team it could be good. My preference is to run two heroic intuition so that I have a higher chance of seeing it turn 1

I'll definitely give the deck a go soon, with and without changes. Spider-Man Justice was my first love, I've spent the past few weeks trying to branch out.

I feel like you "get" Justice, I would appreciate your feedback on my Thor Justice deck if you have time and thoughts:

I just tried it on lunch break vs. Rhino on Heroic 1 - woof, what a slug fest, but I pulled out the W! The deck really has what it takes. As might be expected, Under Surveillance and Swinging Web Kick were the MVPs, but For Justice did work, too. I can see why you’re thinking it needs Followed, 4-health minions were problematic (especially Sandman, he survived two full turns!). I had to use Fury to kill Vulture (oh yeah, Shadow of the Past even came out!).

Also, just a shout-out for Nick Fury, the man, the myth, the legend. For his 4 cost, you get 4 threat removal OR 2 threat removal and 4 damage OR 6 damage OR 2 threat removal and 3 cards OR 2 damage and 3 cards. Plus the block, and the result of moving more quickly through your deck (which is generally positive). I don’t think he needs the praise, but he deserves it. Both times I played him were totally clutch.

I'm glad you like it. I'll take a look at the deck and I'll comment on my findings. Concussive blow is the MVP for me because it allows you to roll down and heal up without consequence pretty much

Concussive Blow saved me alot of times when i was in hero mode and the villain drew Advance. Really good justice card.

Concussive blow on anything above expert mode is basically required imo.

Nice deck, however, I play it with Beat Cop instead of heroic intuition. I think that one thwart a turn is better than wasting spidey's attack on thwarting. Plus it can be used to defeat a minion.
