I picked up Hercules on release and finally found time to play him. In Aggression. Obviously.
Once he’s even mildly built out, he’s a beast. With a slightly different deck to this, Rhino didn’t last long, but you are susceptible to main scheme popping early if you’re not careful.
His own upgrades go a long way to revving his engine, but let’s see what we can do with a nod to initial low economy / small hand size…
The easy theme is to ready and buff him as much as possible.
Aggressive Conditioning and Combat Training give you base 5 ATK, coupled with Golden Mace, Lion of Olympus, Skilled Strike and Adrenaline Rush gives you something huge depending on how lucky you draw.
Readying options courtesy of Limitless Stamina and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, as well as the ready and card draw for completing a Labor.
To keep you up and healthy, Prince of Power pairs beautifully with Golden Mace and Looking for Trouble / Angela plus for some main scheme threat control too.
Throw in some economy from Quincarrier, card draw from Blood Rage, Hall of Heroes and Ironheart, plus a couple of cheap Avengers and you are good to go.
Yes, a 44 card deck. Does it matter? No, not really.
