It's Not What You Know...It's Who You Know

Jess and Thor

I had a fun thought one day to see what I can come up with by using both Leadership and Aggression for Spider-Woman. Instead of leaning into a Sidekick or Voltron archetype, instead I brought all of Jess' powerhouse friends....and I mean POWERHOUSE!

The concept for this deck is to basically get all your mighty friends out on the table...and build them ALL up! And I don't mean having them hit for 3-5ATK...but I'm talking 8-10ATK!

Gods & Monsters

Gods

Jess is a very popular superhero amongst her peers so it's no surprise that some of her friends are some of the strongest on the planet. Her signature ally Captain Marvel is a solid ally as it stands, as she'll be able to draw a card for you and has decent stats of 2/2/3. Carol is one of a few allies who has ample thwart to help assist Jess in keeping the threat in check as you slowly build your board.

Hulk is a heavier hitter at 3ATK but he has that pesky response of doing something random if you aren't careful. If you can, use Jess' alter-ego ability to check the top card of your deck before thinking about Hulk having a swing. Whilst waiting to be built up, use Hulk to chump block minions or if needed the villain...don't worry- there are more opportunities for Jess' other friends to come out and play!

Wonder Man is nice and cheap but also has a 3ATK. Try and use him more for Teamwork (which I'll explain later on) or if he's got upgrades, use him to thwart for 2THWT (with Inspired ).

Sentry is massively powerful as well and if you can weather the encounter card that comes with him, then he can stick around for a long time! Big ATK and good THWT means he can make an impact in either situation...he's got a bit more health too, so don't hesitate to use him before you add upgrades.

Goliath is an amazing thwarter and he's a bomb waiting to be detonated with his 5ATK before you discard him...use him mainly to thwart but don't take him off the board if you can...he can potentially hit for 10ATK for you!

Thor is a god with the power to smite any enemy! Similar with some of the others he has a 3ATK but he also comes with Tough so you can have him block for you...or save the block by using him with Teamwork!

Ronin rounds out the allies and although he isn't god-level or a force of nature, he can quietly amp up his stats...Add Inspired and Enraged to him and all of a sudden he hits for 6ATK!...We'll get to supports later... but Ronin can hit all the way up to 8ATK!

Adding Fuel To The Fire

With Jess' friends already powerful in their own right...why not incentivise them even further? Mighty Avengers adds ATK and THWT to each ally not only making them stronger but allowing the likes of She-Hulk, Goliath and Captain Marvel to help mitigate threat even more!

Boot Camp is the icing on the cake - taking the allies through a rigorous regime to make them lean, meaning fighting machines!

As previously mentioned I've added Inspired to help amp stats to the allies but have also included Enraged which is a sleeper...but my gosh is it effective! The strategy here is to add it to your allies but of course don't use it, otherwise you get consequential damage...the trick is to work as a team!

These Events are HEAVY

Teamwork and one copy of Mass Attack are included here and they work well to circumnavigate costs you regularly would incur.

Hulk no longer will do something random as a response to his attacks; you won't need to discard a card for Wonder Man when he attacks; and most satisfyingly of all...you don't get extra consequential damage on your allies with Enraged! As Teamwork and Mass Attack don't technically have allies attack, no consequential damage is taken...allowing your Enraged and Inspired allies to keep hitting and pummelling the enemies into oblivion.

Avengers Forever

Finally, some Avengers supports to help you build your board - Avengers Tower and Quincarrier.

Avengers Tower allows you to play an ally at a reduced cost, but it also adds another ally to your limit. Try and get four allies out then you'll be safe to play Mass Attack whenever it's drawn. It'll also ensure you reap the maximum benefit from Band Together to pay for your costly allies and supports.

Although not as essential as getting Finesse out, Quincarrier is handy to give you that one extra resource to spend...
